Top Napping Spots Compiled by Joy Walter, weekly features editor
It’s getting to be that time in the semester where stress runs high and sleep very, very low. Therefore, we have put together a list of some good places to catch a quick shut-eye in between classes, after you’re done for the day, when you know you’ll be up all night, and anytime in between: 1. The Wells Hall Yard — Here you’ve got lush grass, shady trees, and the sound of the crazy preachers condemning everyone to hell to lull you to sleep. 2. The Old Horticulture Garden — As long as sounds of rushing water don’t make you need to use the restroom, this peaceful garden is a great place to snooze. 3. The Basement of Shaw Hall — Right in the middle of campus, this little-known nap spot offers plenty of couches in the cool basement. 4. The Library — Obviously a nice and quiet place to rest. Just look out for the mechanical bookshelves, they’ll get ya. 5. Just for the Ladies — Either the sauna at IM Circle or the Women’s Lounge in the MSU Union. Whether you like it hot, or just extremely quiet, at least there won’t be any boys around to see you drool. 6. A Friend’s Dorm Room — Someone you know has to live near your classroom and own a futon. Extra points if you can sneak into the tour room on the floor and be sleeping when the high school students eventually come by. So quit trying to get comfortable in your lecture room chairs, because it’s not going to happen. Go out and try some of these spots for yourself — just make sure to save me a spot.
