Women’s Lacrosse ends Season with a Loss
By Allison Jarrell
On Sunday, April 15, 2012, the MSU Women’s Lacrosse team played the University of Michigan as their final “Seniors Day” game. Even though U of M won with a score of 18-1, the team had previously won 12 straight games in a row, according to assistant coach Emily Pastula.
“The girls showed a ton of improvement to build up to the last two games of the season,” Pastula said. “We have a lot to work on for next year, and a lot more improvement needs to be made, but I think we have the core and the ideas there. We just have to practice a little bit more and get everything down.”
The lacrosse team started out with a tough schedule but persevered, ending their season with 12 wins, seven losses and one tie.
