The Darkness
One Way Ticket to Hell and Back

Atlantic Records

Perhaps one of the most straight forward rock albums since the days of Nirvana’s Nevermind, One Way Ticket gives you all you could ask for from The Darkness and stands as a perfect complement to their 2003 project Permission to Land. This record delivers on such metal topics as illegal vices on “One Way Ticket,” while also expanding and diving into path-less-traveled territory such as a rock n’ rollers’ fear of losing their hair on “Bald.” And for the ladies out there, don’t think The Darkness forgot about you. Two beautifully crafted power ballads have been put on the record to keep you thinking about the bands’ bulge in those tight leather pants.
